Yngling bestiger häst (Boy Mounting a Horse) Area: Gamla stan Placing: Tyska Stallplan (1956) Artist: Ivar Johnson Material: granite Showing a naked youth with one foot in the stirrup about to mount a horse, this granite sculpture has led an exciting life. In 1998 it was blown to bits by vandals and repaired by a skilful stone restorer. After it was rebuilt, the statue was once more demolished and the same craftsman had to fix it again.
